Platinum Women Health MOTs

The Platinum Women MOT is the most extensive health MOT available for women. It will provide a complete summary of your health. The MOT offers in-detailed body measurements and a cardiovascular assessment, in addition to blood tests, and a complete GP consultation. With specific checks alongside other assessments, including the CA125 for ovarian cancer, vitamin tests, and a heart strain or efficiency check-up, this is the best way to catch any potential issues at an early stage.

This MOT is designed for all women between 18 and 79 who want to understand their health, get an early view of risk, and take action for their long-term health.

  • Vital Blood & Non-blood Tests
  • For women
  • Ages: 18-79

What is incorporated in this health assessment?

The Health Assessment consists of:

  • Medical and Lifestyle Questionnaire: A thorough investigation of your personal medical history, family history and lifestyle choices, which help identify potential health threats and inherited conditions.
  • Height, Weight and Body Mass Index (BMI): Your height and weight will be taken to calculate your BMI, which illustrates if you are in a healthy range.
  • Blood Pressure, Pulse and Oxygen saturation: A non-invasive test used to assess your cardiovascular and respiratory function. Blood pressure and oxygen levels that are abnormal may indicate a circulatory or lung specific condition.
  • Lung Function Peak Flow: The measure of the velocity of air exhaled from your lungs, which is valuable for detecting the early signs of COPD, asthma or other lung conditions.
  • Cardiovascular Risk Score: This number is derived from your blood pressure, BMI, cholesterol and lifestyle habits to indicate your risk of developing cardiovascular conditions such as a stroke or heart attack in the future.
  • 12 Lead ECG (Electrocardiogram): A comprehensive heart test that measures the electrical activity of your heart through 12 points. This will show us rhythm disturbances, strain on the heart and if you require tests to find abnormalities.
  • Full Consultation and Examination with GP: A private GP will perform a full medical examination and review your test results. They will provide you with tailored medical advice, taking into account your health profile and lifestyle.

Blood Tests (38 readings):

  • Full Blood Count (FBC) and ESR: A Full Blood Count tests red blood cells, white blood cells, platelets and haemoglobin to assess for infection, anaemia and blood disorders. An ESR shows the levels of inflammation present in the body.
  • Urea and Electrolyte: Looks at potassium, sodium, bicarbonate, chloride, creatinine, urea and eGFR in the body. These markers monitor kidney function and fluid level, and are used to detect early signs of kidney disease or abnormal levels of electrolytes.
  • Liver Function Tests: Assesses alkaline phosphatase, bilirubin, ALT, AST, total protein, Gamma GT, globulin and albumin to check for liver damage or inflammation, as well as liver related conditions like hepatitis or fatty liver.
  • Bone Markers: Phosphate, calcium, magnesium and uric acid levels help monitor joint and bone health and show levels of mineral balance. Abnormalities can indicate gout or osteoporosis, or a nutritional deficiency.
  • Glucose and HbA1c: Glucose gives a present reading of blood sugar levels and HbA1c tests average glucose control over a 2 to 3 months’ period. Together they provide a reliable way to diagnose diabetes and pre-diabetes, and to monitor long-term blood sugar control.
  • Cholesterol Profile: Comprises HDL cholesterol (good cholesterol), LDL cholesterol (bad cholesterol), non-HDL cholesterol, triglycerides and total cholesterol. It presents a complete picture of individual’s cardiovascular health while predicting their risk for heart disease.
  • Iron Studies and Ferritin (including TIBC): This measures an individual’s level of iron, ferritin (stored iron), and total iron-binding capacity. These tests are used for detecting iron deficiency, anaemia or conditions of iron overload.
  • Thyroid Function (Free T4 and TSH): This test measures thyroid hormone levels and the balance of thyroid stimulating hormones. These are important for energy levels. metabolism and overall wellbeing.
  • Vitamin D (25-OH): This vital vitamin assists with energy levels, bone density and immune support. Low levels are common and can contribute to bone pain, fatigue and predisposition to fractures.
  • Vitamin B12 and Folate: These are essential nutrients for red blood cell production, nerve health and energy metabolism. Low levels can lead to anaemia, fatigue and neurological symptoms.
  • CA125 (Ovarian Cancer Marker): A protein that can be elevated in ovarian cancer and some benign gynaecological conditions. It is not a stand-alone screening tool but may provide useful information when interpreted alongside symptoms and other tests.
  • BNP (B-type Natriuretic Peptide): A hormone released when the heart is under strain. Elevated levels can indicate heart failure or cardiovascular stress, sometimes before symptoms develop.
