What’s in this health check?

Your Health Assessment consists of:

  • A comprehensive medical and lifestyle questionnaire: Collecting data on your individual and family history of health, lifestyle behaviours and risk factors.
  • Height, Weight and Body Mass Index (BMI): Assesses overall body composition and indicates potential health risks.
  • Blood pressure, pulse and oxygen saturation: Tracks heart and circulatory health, and oxygen delivery.

Blood Tests include:

  • Full Blood Count (FBC), ESR: Examination of red and white blood cells, platelets, haemoglobin and markers of inflammation to monitor for infection, anaemia and immune system disorders.
  • Urea and Electrolytes: Potassium, sodium, bicarbonate, chloride, creatinine, urea, eGFR – testing kidney function and hydration levels.
  • Liver Function Tests: Alkaline phosphatase, bilirubin, ALT, AST, total protein, Gamma GT, globulin, albumin – testing liver health and looking for signs of damage.
  • Bone Markers: Phosphate, calcium, magnesium, uric acid – measuring bone and joint health, and imbalances that can influence long-term bone strength.
  • Glucose and HbA1c: Determining the current blood glucose levels and risk of diabetes over the long term.
  • Cholesterol Profile: Total cholesterol, HDL, non-HDL cholesterol, LDL (calculated), triglycerides – giving a complete cardiovascular health profile.
  • Iron and Ferritin (including TIBC): Checking both iron levels and storage ability to diagnose iron overload or anaemia.
  • Thyroid Function: Free T4 and TSH – checking metabolism, thyroid function and hormone equilibrium.
  • Vitamin D (25-OH): Needed for bone density, energy and immune system support. Deficiency is prevalent and can affect overall wellbeing.
  • Vitamin B12 and Folate: Important nutrients for nerve function, brain function and energy production. Deficiency can lead to anaemia, mental impairment and fatigue.
